Tuned for Performance

Multithreaded loading and performance optimizations allow XMesh to save and load much faster than native scenes. Often 10x or 100x faster. Additionally, because of the way we structure the data it can perform much, much better in the viewport.  

Lossless Compression keeps files small and because we only store what changes, we don't duplicate anything that doesn't need to be there. Data channels are stored separately, further optimizing performance in face or vertex-only modes.

SHARE YOUR DATA PERFECTLY

We control the format and we ensure that data will be preserved and always identical. 

Move data back and forth between Maya, 3ds Max, Nuke & more quickly, efficiently and exactly every single time. 

RENDER FASTER

XMesh loading is always free, so your render nodes can access the XMesh files for any of your renders without using a license. Performance of your farm increases because the XMesh files load faster than the original scenes, and all of the processing has already been calculated so you aren't re-simulating or re-calculating complex animation rigs for every frame. This adds up to noticeable rendering improvements!

USE LESS SPACE

Because XMesh files are smaller than your original scene files, you can use less storage space in production. This makes sense not just for local rendering, but for rendering on remote machines. 

REUSE YOUR XMESH ASSETS

Because the storage is smaller, you'll also be inclined to keep reusable assets around longer. That can come in really handy, because XMesh assets can be tweaked, retimed, scaled and warped. Use a splash of water from one movie as a footstep in a river in another. Work smarter!
